I am a native to Swords, Louisiana. I have received a Masters of Science degree in Rehabilitation from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2004. I have training and education in Rehabilitation Counseling, Guidance Counseling as well as Community Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist. I have experience working with Adult, Adolescent and Geriatric clients who suffer from Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Relationship Issues and Life Transitions. I am an active and engaged therapist with over 15 years experience in both Inpatient and Outpatient treatment, as well as providing Mental Health therapy and Behavioral Management within an Educational/School environment for students with Autism, Behavior Problems and Mental Illness.

People choose therapy for many different reasons, whether they are struggling with emotional pain, being in an unsatisfying relationship or having unfulfilled goals. In order to help people move beyond ways of thinking, feeling, or behaving that are unhealthy or no longer adaptive, I use a comprehensive psychotherapeutic approach and EMDR that stimulates the brain's inherent self-healing capacities. EMDR therapy accelerates the treatment of a wide range of problems and self-esteem issues related both to upsetting past events and present life conditions.
